During my time working on temporary sculptures made from found materials at Tweede Maasvlakte, I often passed trucks on the road. The proximity of these trucks, especially their wheels visible from the passenger window, intrigued me. One day, I decided to film these wheels as we overtook them.

While editing the footage, I recorded the sound of a laundry machine running in the background. When I played the recorded sound alongside the truck footage, I realized how the rhythmic hum of the laundry machine complemented the repetitive movement of the truck wheels. This connection between the industrial noise of the trucks and the domestic hum of the laundry machine created an unexpected harmony. The resulting video loop reflects on the seemingly contrasting yet rhythmically linked movements and sounds of machinery in our everyday lives.
